Learning English in USA

Hello LCI Guest,

Welcome back to our blog page, where we love to discuss various topics about our Intensive English Program and everything that comes with it. Last time we brought up questions we hear often, and please know, we welcome all questions! During this discussion, I would like to point out things we do inside the classroom as well as outside of the classroom. Yes, we are all about learning, but it is completely okay to have a little fun while learning…. Right?

For example, we implement American holidays and culture into our daily lessons and try to have fun with it. As many of you know, April fool’s day just past and we had such a great time with our students. Aliia from level 6 was smiling all day and said she was going to play a joke on her husband when she got home. It is safe to say, the atmosphere at school was full of happiness and laughter, which eases the nerves and helps with comprehending the material better.

We also have our Activity Calendar posted in all the classrooms for our students to view in case they would like to participate in field trips. We do have some activities that are held at school, but we also have some that we explore in the community. Field trips are not mandatory, but they do help you explore Houston with a group instead of going alone.
