Denver is an American city that I really enjoy. Since I have been living and studying English in Denver for more than a year now, I have visited a fair number of places and have tried some activities. The thing I most love about Denver is its friendly people. Denver’s people are kind, helpful and always smiling. They smile at me wherever I go, which makes me feel like I fit in and it makes me glad.
Another reason I love studying English in Denver is the weather. Denver’s weather is unique. One day it is snowing and the next it is sunny. Since I am from Saudi Arabia, I am used to sunny dry weather, not cold and foggy weather. Therefore, I like the changeable weather of Denver.
The diversity of restaurants is yet another reason to study English in Denver. Indeed, wherever a person is from, he/she is going to find his/her favorite ethnic food. Some of the cuisines that I have tried in Denver are: Indian, Chinese, Afghani, Italian, Mexican, and of course Middle Eastern cuisine. Besides these, someone can easily find more different cuisines spread all around Denver.
In addition, international students can visit some pretty exciting attractions while they study English in Denver. For example, I can climb the magnificent Rocky Mountains, sightsee in Denver’s museums, enjoy Denver’s Downtown Aquarium, explore Denver’s Zoo, relax in Denver’s several parks or even go downtown.
Last but not least, the University of Denver is the most significant cause that brought me to study English in Denver since it has my major, which is media.
