Imagine a talented girl looking for the perfect city to live, and to learn English and enhance her skills. Initially, she finds many cities since she has a scholarship from her university. That student is me, Nourah. I work as a teacher’s assistant in a university, so I decided to choose to attend English school in Denver, Colorado, because of the high standards the state has. The essential question that emerges in a person’s head now is why choose Denver? The answers follow.
- Studying English
Obviously, it is necessary to be good in English to prepare for a university education. Denver has countless schools and universities such as the University of Colorado, University of Denver and other international schools to be mentioned below. Now I am studying at LCI English school in Denver, which is a cultured and educated environment. LCI has a diversity of programs such as the GRE and GMAT preparation, university preparation and traditional English programs. Now, I am attending the University Preparation course, where the goal is not only to adjust my mind for a university environment, but also to prepare me for what assessments and situations I can anticipate during my study in university in the future.
- Entertainment
Denver is a good choice for enjoyment and entertainment. Let’s begin with shopping; this city has many spots to shop for clothes, shoes, furniture and electronic devices. Cherry Creek Mall, Park Meadows Mall, Flatiron Crossing, Denver Pavilions and Colorado Mills are the top five malls in Denver. They have all kind of stores and brands that meet a person’s needs. In addition, there are other attractive places if you want to enjoy and spend a good time. Visit the Denver Art Museum, the Denver Museum of Nature and Science, Downtown Aquarium or the Denver Zoo. Also, climbing and skiing in the Rocky Mountains is famous throughout the whole world.
- Food
Students who come from other cultures worry about getting their traditional food in a foreign country. Not a problem if they attend an English school in Denver. I have seen all the types of meals here in Denver. It has variety of restaurants such as Arabic, Chinese, French, Indian, Japanese, Mexican and Italian. A person can eat whatever he or she wants, whether it is pasta, pizza, sushi, seafood, steak or kebab. They are delicious, sometimes cheap and easy to reach.
- A Strategic Location
Being in the center of the country is an important location, and this is one of Denver’s strengths. Due to the perfect location, anyone can travel across the country in a short time. For example, Los Angles takes approximately two hours in a plane. This advantage is helpful in case a student attending an English school in Denver has vacation for one week, he or she can take advantage of that.
- People
I really like the people in Denver because they are friendly and nice. They always help me whenever I need it, or if I have a problem. I remember when I got lost downtown, people gave me directions and told me where to go. Additionally, locals are used to living with other people who come from other countries and speak different languages. For this reason, they treat me nicely even if they do not understand what I say sometimes. It is not a big problem for them. Also, it is easy to make friends with them; they accept our differences and try to know me personally.
In the end, Denver is the right choice to complete your studies. It provides enjoyment, happiness and success. You will never regret living in this city. Personally, I really recommend students to come to Denver for satisfying experience and impressive career.
