Academic English Program
               

LCI’s Academic English Program (AEP) focuses on academic preparation for undergraduate, graduate and doctorate programs. It is an intensive program with college-level English objectives. LCI AEP students can continue their studies at any university in the United States. The program is also suitable for those individuals seeking simply to learn English in a rigorous and challenging manner.

AEP is a full-time language program with 24 hours of instruction per week given in five ten-week terms over one year. AEP has seven levels, from beginner to advanced. Students enrolling in the Academic English Program have an English-language assessment to ensure placement in the appropriate level. Students can then progress through the levels until they are ready for university studies.

Each part of the AEP focuses on developing the student's effective communication skills in speaking, listening, reading and writing at the level needed for success at an English-speaking university. A cultural component to assist students in their awareness and adaptation to life in the USA is part of all language programs at LCI.
